Hey we had road runner when I was down by you. For our tv and internet service. cost about 80 dollars a month plus tax. And considering we got just about ever channel at that price. I am feeling really ripped off here for those prices here and not even 1/4 of the speed.:x

No I live in a very small town there is only one phone company here and I'm not sure if it privately own or not. I do know it is not a major company though. I know when I sign up I got shares. whooopy do.

When you dial out, do you have to call Mabel, the operator, to connect you?

    Here's mine:

Not bad considering I'm only paying for and my modem is only configured for 3M up/384k down speed. I'm paying $99/mo for internet, phone and all the movie channels.

Anything over 30ms to Ireland or nearby islands e.g. Netherlands, France etc is quite poor and that's from Scotland. People in England usually ping lower, like 5-15ms UK, 15-30 Germany etc. BT are poor on the ping front I'm afraid. Though it has a lot to do with your location, 58ms is still very high in this day and age, no matter where you're located in the UK.

Edit: You would only care about such things if you played games which were affected by ping e.g. Quake :/

Ok, just ran mine this morning. I'm with Entanet on a Business connection, MAX product (20:1 contention) giving :

As this looked a little lsower than a couple of days ago I ran my usual speedtest from www.thinkbroadband.com and it confirmed the results. Previously my upload was around 5.5 and download a little below what's shown above.

I am about 2 1/2 miles from the main exchange.
