Looks pretty dinky. Not sure I would pay 200 quid for something like this, although it is SSD I suppose.

I've just packed two off them off to different schools on monday for them to evaluate for the week.

Nice little bits of kit, ideal if you're travelling a lot, runs XP really well (if you want), too fiddly for my fingers to type on though.

The screen and the keyboard are probably enough to put most people off, they would be better suited with a standard laptop.

a guy I know uses it as a photo backup device, he has one of those 80gb epson things but its not scalable, with the eee he just throws in a 320gb USB HDD or two, and backs all his photos up, mirrors them, does whatever, job done!

very cool idea.. and half the price of the 80gb epson

It would do me for going on trips abroad, but at 4Gb it wouldnt fit even a quater of my pron collection on it, so no good in the hotel room alone!

I think the EEEPC looks like a fantastic piece of kit. I've seen them modded upto 32GB which gives plenty of storage space when travelling.

It also has a SDD card reader and 3 USB ports for adding extra storage.
