    Hi,

Not sure if this is a stupid question or not - but I'm revising for my CCNA, and I've recently set-up some DHCP servers in Packet Tracer (worked lovely.)

However, one thing I noticed was that, whenever I wished to set-up a DHCP server, it had to be on a per subnet basis (so, one dhcp server assigned to each 255.255.255.0 (/24) subnet)

I've done a little research, and come across BOOTP, can someone advise how BOOTP helps with this? =/

You shouldn't need a server for each subnet, but you will need to set scopes for each to set what the Subnet are and what hosts are available etc. you will also need to put the DHCP server up address in the iphelper command on any routers so that the DHCP requests are forwarded to the server.
