Hi, trying to figure this out at the moment...

Finally got through all my A+ coursework (went through skillstrain...) so about to book my exams. Although Prometric only seem to carry the 2007 (&2009?) exam(s) by the looks of it. I studied the 2006 objectives. Does anybody know of any major differences? Any areas to watch for. I have a fairly decent IT background if that helps.

Skillstrain were not too helpfull. But i'll try them again Monday morning.

Also thinking of doing the two in one day. How did other people find that?

    Cheers
    Adam

the 2007 is the 2006 objectives with a minor update to them. If you have studied the 2006 objectives you will be fine with the 2007 ones

The 2006 version of the exam will be available until Feb 2010. The 2007 version is just the 2006 version with a minor revision. The 2009 version is a major revision, so there will be noticeable changes.

A few people have sat 2 exams on the same day. Some have passed both, some have fail either 1 or both. It all boils down to how much you know your subject.

forgot to mention that I did both one after the other on the same day.

If you have studied a book like compTIA A+ all in one exam guide 6th edition by Mike Meyers then you should be fine.

I sat them 2 weeks apart. In retrospect that was a mistake because I learned practically nothing useful in the two week gap. I think I played far more Football Manager than studying actually.
Ah, for those heady days when I had time to spend playing games. *sigh*
