Booked Both exams for 24th May

Now need to cram as much as poss to try to pass this thing.. I've been passing the mocks - but only just, hopefully between now and 24th I should be able to increase my score a bit more..

Just one question though..
I've booked the Hardware exam for 9.30 and the OS exam for 11.30, I've heard somewhere that the exam is an hour long, but when booking couldn't find out where I read that..
So can anyone confirm that the exam is an hour long? Or have I booked them too close together?

The exams are 90 mins maximum time but you have 15 mins at the start to read through all the rules and regs and 15 mins at the end to complete a questionnaire (not compulsory).

So your exams are two hours apart - spot on. The testing centre won't allow you to book any closer together.

When I sat the A+ exams there was no requirement to wait if you finished the first exam early, you could have a bit of a break if you wanted and then fire straight in to the second.

Cliff- Firstly good luck on your exams and the exams are 90mins each are per CompTIA website

I think if your second exam is the part you are struggling in, i think it may be wise to have an extended break, so then you can grab something to eat and cram just before the exam...

In truth, I'm more worried on the Hardware side than the OS side. Need to cram some of the more 'technicial' aspects (ie. remembering the qualities of what processor has what etc)..

cliff cramming isnt a good idea... learn them.. make sure you also know your IRQs, DMAs, LPT ports...SCSI (all of them) , ATA.. make flash cards so you can take them and learn them!

The two exams are dooable in a day I know I did it (and an MCP as well) - god that was a hell of a day!
