Andy here. been in IT 16 years now. Contracting mainly. Working in London, Reading and Surrey area. Not the same as it was years ago. Rates have dropped and not the amount of work but v flexible in what I do. I think you have to be. I cover everything from cabling/rollouts to desktop/network support. Looking at taking an MCP in Exchange..nothing too fancy, just need Exchange mcp on me CV!

hello and welcome sounds like it should not take you long to bash out an exchange exam or two.

 

yes i Ive got about 10 so far, but a bit bored with studying (im nearly 50) how ever theres lots of roles for network support that require you to have exchange knowledge and although ive played about with it eg creating accounts/ mailboxes etc ive got nothing on paper. is there a generic exchange exam? i think the 2003 version was the 284? just something nice and quick really...nothing fancy

Have a look at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-exchange-server.aspx for an overview of the current offerings of exchange exam, the 284 is soon to be discontinued (over the next day or two I think). Might as well go for 2k7 if you see a trend of contracting jobs asking for that, maybe both if your feeling saucy!?
