    When I switch on my computer and all the software loads up and after several minutes the computer blue screens with the message WORKER_THREAD_RETURNED_AT_BAD_IROL. The only way I can use the computer is to use safe mode which works fine but I cannot print etc and the text is big.

    Does anyone know what is wrong.
    :cry:

    Hi,

    You could help the forum members to help you, by;

    Providing Operating system information
    Providing Hardware specification
    You say after a couple of minutes; I assume the machine boots to the desktop?
    Have you added new soft/hardware to the machine?
    Have you left it running in Safe mode for any length of time to see if it blue screens then?
    Are there any errors in event viewer (assuming it runs for long enough!)

    1) Have you looked at replies to your previous version of this question, here?

    2) You should probably search Google for WORKER_THREAD_RETURNED_AT_BAD_IRQL, not IROL: link

    You need to provide us with some more info, did you recently install a software or hardware before this issue started? If this is the case then whilst logged on in safe mode uninstall the software or software driver for the hardware device if this is the case.

    Again, which operating system are you using? Lets know how it goes.

    What graphics card are you using?

    I believe you may have a PCI card problem or some other hardware problem.

    If you do a search as BM suggested you may find that the drivers for your PCI card is no longer available so therefore un-compatible.
