I was led to believe there was some sort of patch coming out to make DX10 compatible cards work at DX10 mode in XP but I know you know your stuff so I believe you.

I have to go with what Microsoft says... if they say it won't work, I have to believe them until they change their official stance.

I believe a third-party group is creating an "unofficial" patch to make a "light" version work on WinXP. That said... do YOU want to risk changing Microsoft's code for DirectX on a Microsoft OS and hoping it works? No thanks.

 

Just downloaded the demo what a good game it is, I think I will but it

I had to downloads the NVIDIA beta drivers for it and also had to turn the V sync of on the graphics and turn it down to a medium graphics setting as it would stop the game from loading otherwise.

May get it today after my exam.

a bit of both but i mainly saved them because you get a reward after you have saved a few of them

 

Just played the demo and it's wicked. I am definitely going to buy it.

 

I have it is good, but bear in mind that there are a lot of people have had problems with it.

I had it running at 1024 x 768 with everything on medium and v sync set to off on my car but from the first Arcadia level I have had to knock everything to low and it still crashes from time to time.

I have read a report about two guys with the exact same comp one has problems and the other does not.

Theres on-line petition for a patch to hopefully resolve the intermittent crashes and freezing.

But good game anyhow

I didnt have any issues with the demo, and graphics were maxed out. I guess the issue is with the full game. I'll have to read up online to see whats going on with the game.

this game is great in all aspects!

with p4 1.7 GHz , nvidia geforce 6800 xt graphics card
and 1.280 GB DDRAM

i can play nearly well! well optimized game

 

yep - xbox version and I love it !! immense game
