    Hi everyone!

As you may have seen from a previous post of mine yesterday, my company is rolling out Office 2007 soon across Europe and I have been looking at the MCAS certification to aid the team in supporting it.

Are there are text books or training material that you can recommend for this? I have seen the MCAS Study Guide by Cox and Preppenau from Microsoft Press book banded around here.

Is this generally considered to be the best material for this or are there others that you guys have had experience of that would be good to try?

Thanks for your help as always :D

I passed a couple of MCAS exams thru experience only, however here's some learning resources (I'm just copying the whole answer I posted elsewhere):

Yes you can (I've done a couple already, but without the studying). To take a MCAS exam you have to sit it at a Certiport testing centre, the one that I've used is Tresham Institute (I have a contact e-mail if you want), in the Northants area (UK). They do class based training, however you can do a varity of self-studying thru the likes of:

    CBT's like:
    Trainsignal: http://www.trainsignal.co.uk/office-2007-series.htm
    CBTNuggets: http://www.cbtnuggets.com/webapp/product?id=488
On both of the above, they do sell individual modules if you don't want to purchase the whole suite.

eLearning from Microsoft's own learning website (under the heading Microsoft E-Learning) and books too:

    Word: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=77-601#tab3
    Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=77-600#tab3
    Excel: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=77-602#tab3
    Powerpoint: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=77-603#tab3
    Outlook: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=77-604#tab3
    Access: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=77-605#tab3

You can also buy practice exams directly from Certiport here: http://shop.certiport.com/Shop/Control/fp/cat/146081/SFV/28737

    Hope this helps :)
