    LOL I am getting stagnant and need to bump up my certification count!!! I am planning on going on something similar myself. Are you taking the VCP exam afterwards?

    Ha ha I know yeah I think you're right mate! You are leaving me in your wake aren't ya eh :)

    I'll try and step it up a notch baby! Citrix course to follow this hopefully mate although I think I need to re-earn my support stripes before I venture into anything more hardcore at the min :S

    Gutted for you Craigie. Its rubbish you can't self study but on the other hand good because not just anyone can get the vcp. Get on their case mate

    On a serious note, I am going look into this course myself... I was supposed to go on a VCP course but that kind of got pushed back.

    First day done. I was worried it would be too heavy but it was fine today. Installed vCenter, vSphere and ESXi, setup some vlans and virtual switches. Looking forward to learning more about HA DRS and vMotion but that will be later in the week. So far so good. Jim

    Totally mate it was hands on practically straight away. He did say the course alone isn't enough to pass the VCP but its a great start. It sounds like a lot but it helps that most tasks are a lot quicker than you'd imagine, teaming NICs, adding a new switch, all a piece of cake.

    If you're in the UK Rambo First Blood is starting on channel 3. Love this film! I feel its loosely based on me..... ha ha

    never seen the start of rambo, watching it now :) The course sounds pretty cool, I did the 3.5 version but would love to go on the updated one just to see what its like now.

    Totally!

    OK so I now know more about LUNs, iSCSI, NFSand VMware storage in general. Over committing disks, fat and thin disks, VMFS and static/dynamic discovery.

    I already knew you could over commit memory but not disks!
