Been offered a job... wait... make that TWO JOBS!!

    Well it's been a funny few days - have had a few interviews lately, and as some of you may know I didn't get the first one I went for a few weeks back... well on Friday out of the blue they rang and offered me the job... but it was only temp 'til july and less money.... well this morning I had a call from the other place I interviewed with recently, offering me the job, still less than I am on now but more than the other one, and more importantly, permanent!!!

    So looks like my hard work is finally paying off... just can't believe two have come at once! :lol:

    thanks guys :) I am so chuffed!!!

    The job is a Junior IT Support Officer, sounds ideal for me I will be installing PCs with windows and software etc, also troubleshooting them, and also other things like phones / PDAs, and moving towards the server side of things as I learn more (which is what I want to do), and they also said one of the first projects I will be involved in will be a relocation so I will be helping to set up all the new hardware which sounds fun :)

    I am still amazed I got it, this was the one which had hundreds of applications, about 120 from Reed alone! And they interviewed I think 10 people in total... I don't think I would even have got an interview if I hadn't rang up and chased up my application (after I got turned down on the other job) so that bit of advice definitely holds true to me, always follow up your applications!!

    Don't mind at all - £16,400 ish I think they said, I asked if there was any room to move (why not :D ) and they said no as it was near the top of the advertised pay bracket anyway... but I'm happy with that! Not bad for a 1st IT job I think
