Recently reactivated my account in an effort to actually hit 70, and then 80

I'm still playing on the EU realms, Khadgar if anyone is interested :)

    Lvl 65 Shaman
    Lvl 64 Priest
    Lvl 60 Death Knight

    Lots of variety :)

I've just bought wow after running the ten day trial. Love the game but wasn't impressed with over 5 Gig of updates.

actually I'm usually more impressed with large updates
it means they actually made some improvements, usually cool shiney ones

The original wow came on 4 disks
the expasion came on 3 disks
not sure how many disks WoTLK is, I got the digital distribution of the whole client that was 6.4GB
from there I had 651 and 41 mb patches

The game has come A LONG Way since launch, and even a fair way since I stopped playing 6 months ago

I'm playing on Alonsus at the moment. Let me know if you create a character over there.

Server Sprawl is WoWs big issue
its almost impossible odds that you will find people you know playing on the same servers
even those of us who bought copies at the same time that didnt start out playing together, ended up on different servers

EVE Online has the benefit of having one server, so even when I meet players over here, they are on the same server, I can communicate, trade, and hang out with them, thats cool

We used to play on Sunstrider but did a paid char transfer to a PVE server for a bit of scenery change and less ganking :)

I would say come join me on Khadgar, but with the time difference I would barely be on apart from weekends :)

    HUH!

If your in the US you can join EU realms, and vice versa?

Or are you assuming I live in the US? :biggrin

EDIT: You said about time difference, so you know I live in the UK, I never knew US could join EU realms and vice versa, or is it not possible..

You must get some bad lag now and again :biggrin

ooooh, never knew you played EVE Ryan, go on then, whats your chars name? Where's he/she hanging out? I suspended my accounts for a while but I'll no doubt be back :) I was mostly hanging out in Bob space before we went to pay our neighbours a visit in Operation Max then I stopped for a rest.

I just let my subscription expire. No time to play anymore.

Started the game, got to 60, got bored. Bought expansion. Got to 70, got bored. Decided to stop playing.

I only moved to the US in July
so my accounts are all EU accounts
I can't even buy Gametime cards or the expansions here, they wont work with my EU account
I do everything online (gametime, downloadable expansions)

Lag is fine, about 200ms round trip, no problem for a MMORPG,

my Eve account is deactivated too, I stayed in high sec most the time, didnt like losing my Raven every 5 mins in low sec, and we were not part of a cool alliance so didnt have much access to 0.0 anyway (in fact, i've never been to 0.0 despite my 16m SP)

I'm keen to see the improvements now EVE64 is around and the new mining command ship (i'm a miner, bite me) :)

I think Blizzard should allow EU and US use each others servers, I don't the lag would be that bad.
