It said it was cheap and review said that they tested the board with two 8800gtx graphics cards so I suppose it will take two 8600gt cards unfortunatley I cant afford two 8800gtx not unless someone gives me £600 or I win the lottery

Id still rather squeeze a few extra bucks to stick 1 8800 gtx. It will still do roadkill on 2 8600's imho. Your call though buddy, Suppose it does have alot to do with how much budget you are willing to bang down on one.

    Getting 1 8800, may be cheaper than 2 8600's. But as for 1 8800 out performing 2 8600, I'm not so sure.

I say this as 2 7600's will out perform 1 7900 card, only by a few points in 3dmark06 but will still outperform it.

The site that I normally go and see benchmark results is Tom's Hardware Guide.

Another good place to get video card statistics and compare them is GPUReview.
