    Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone know of a supplier of spare parts for the above, a friend has given me her 701 to look at with a broken screen, So I just need to replace the LCD.

If not I suppose we could get a faulty one from ebay with a different fault and fit that instead.

    Cheers

no fraid its not under warranty any more as its the 701 one which I think was the first model of eee pc. Just posting the question really to see if anyone knows of any reputable suppliers of parts for the product. I think I read on tinterweb that asus would repair it but it would cost more than the price of a new one!

There is one website i use, however i did a quick check and there was no parts for the asus EEE 701.
As you suggested, it seems it would cheaper to buy it new.

i have had problems with my eee top which failed, no one seemed to want to help and no one in the uk or europe seemed to have parts

i eventually found a company in the uk who had all the parts and managed the repair in 24 hours

    spam.co.uk

i notice they do all the eepc stuff as welll

    hope it helps

To be honest mate to replace the screen it would probably be cheaper to buy a new netbook.
