Guess this is a silly question, my brain not really working after last night lol
If i want to do an ASR then i must have the ASR backup stored on a separate hard disk on the same system?? (obviously it cant be stored on the same disk). I was thinking that it could be stored on another systems hard disk but it would not be able to access this would it??

I think that this should answer your question Ally.

I would try and explain, but my brain isn't working after last night either! :sick

From your link Simon, it would appear that the ASR files need to be on a floppy. This is also true for the ERD (emergency recovery disk) in earlier versions of Windows servers, NT/2000.
