    When a user complains to you that his or her computer is making a loud whirring noise, there are really only two types of components that can make that type of noise: disk drives and cooling fans. A problem with either type of component could spell disaster

    My laptop fan has been driving me barmy (even barmier).
    So I was glad to see this article.However, not too keen on opening up my laptop (never), so this article would be useful for easily accessible fans, but not me ( :cry: )

    Great article though.I've found a way of quieting down my fan though, wahey :cheers
