Are old training materials any good?

    Hi all,

I am after some advice please...

I have decided to take the self study option after doing some research on training providers (and being left very uncertain about their value). I have just ordered Meyers' All in one 7ed from Amazon. While I am waiting for it to arrive I have checked at my library for anything that will help. All they had was VTC's CompTIA A+ (2003 Objectives) Training CD. I thought I'd get it as it was free, but I am wondering whether it is so old that I am wasting my time with it or will it still be useful as a supplement to the up-to-date book I have ordered?

I don't want to fill my head up with out of date or irrelevant information. If anyone has knowledge of this product and is able to say how relevant this is to the current syllabus I would be grateful.

    Thanks
    Ray

It wont have all the stuff thats relevant to the current exam in it but it could still be helpful.
