I am considering a a quick break from Microsoft certifications and want to become proficient with Apple OSX. Looking at the skills tested this seems the right sort of area, but it is hard to find any comprehensive information about good study material. Is there an equvelant to the MS Press Books? Do you have any recommendations for study materials covering all the exam objectives?

I see there is are CBT videos for Windows 'Power Users' going to Macs but it doesn't specifically mention this exam...

    Thanks

If you have limited or no experience with Mac, I would say look at the ACA cert first of all. As for the ACSP 10.6 book, yes there is an MSPress equivalent, see here. That is the book that I got (having sat the exam yet as I haven't had time to study) :)

OK so looking at it, the ASA exam can be taken online from wherever and only covers what is in the Mac Integration Basics pdf?

Also, you take it from the US prometric site. I take it this is not an issue?

OK thanks for that. Just to clarify it only just covers the material in the Mac Integration Basics document?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm new to Apple and their certs!

As I recall, it covers most. A few questions I adapted my Microsoft knowledge to answer.

I posted about it here, however I didn't put alot of info in the thread :(

Right, I took and passed the Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration 10.6 with 94.29% so I guess I can move onto the ACSP 10.6.

Everything was covered in their online preparation material, and thanks for your help guys!

Cheers I've picked myself up a copy of that now. Had to put it on hold a bit to do the ITIL v3 Foundation exam but should be able to dive in now
