I'd post my favorites here, but I don't want to put out that much effort. I'd be posting links for a long, long time. My Debian machine has my favorites organized into 18 folders with an average of 8 or 10 links per folder. My Win2K box is a lot worse. It averages about 15 to 18 links per folder and I've got just as many folders. There is some overlap, but not more than 10% or so. I keep my Linux links on my Linux box and Windows links on my Windows box.

    Here's just a very few.

I don't actually have a favourite place on the web I tend to drift from forum to forum, I end up at a particular forum for a few months then disappear when it appears the posting is starting to slow down, no point in hanging round in a slow posting forum.

Well...yes and no. I realize what you mean but sometimes forum activity goes in cycles. I've been on forums where the activity has gone from brisk to slow, but it usually picks back up again.

I generally hang out at forums that are informative and where I like the "social" interactions. That doesn't mean the place will be all that active. I think the activity level here is just about right. I occasionally post at linuxquestions.org but only when I have a tough question I can't get answered anyplace else. That forum is too big and active to really be able to relate to the personalities there.
