Apache server exp.

    OK so im seeing jobs asking for Apache server experience. I know this is a unix sever (i think??) but how can i gian experience in it? I have a copy of win2k3 so can get experience configuring that but i have never seen apache anywhere. SO help?

    Apache will run quite happily on Windows.

    All info here .

    I run it on a number of Unix boxes.

    A further thought - you would be surprised at the very high percentage of web-sites out there on the 'net that are driven by Apache!

    There are many books on the thing, with the O'Reilly books probably being the most usefull. But it comes with a *lot* of documentation.

    i think harry has pointed you in the right direction.. just on a side not.. i had a look at this book after one of the guys at work was builing one on fedora.. looks good and i kind of like the idea of running apache on a linux box than server 2003...
