Apache (httpd) not starting

    i have been trying to start apache server on fedora 5 but some how it is not working. it went to the services icon on the menu and entered the root password and then ticked httpd and clicked on restart but it is taking ages. help me please. thanks.

    What does it say in the apache log? And does ps show that it has started?
