i got offered a job today. Mostly because of 6 weeks work experience for an investment bank. They said if you can work with bankers you can work with anybody. And that was only 6 weeks working with them! so if you get a job on the trade floor your cv going to look brill!

I've got a trade floor gig starting on Monday.

It's in an exchange in Aldgate and it's a 1 month rolling potentially never ending contract. It's a mix of 1st through to 3rd line where everyone mucks in, I'm told that 1 minute I could be changing printer toners, the next fixing a domain controller of Cisco switch.

I'm also told the users are 'very demanding'. I'm being harassed to interview somewhere else so if I have to put up with nonsense I'm not sure how long I'll put up with it..

I do want some trade floor experience on my CV - so we'll see.
