While I would like to learn your language, I will have to learn my own "mother-tongue" first (can't speak German :( ). May take you up on that offer at a later date :)

    Hi Kobem,

Your offer to teach us your language was most generous. I'm sure it is a beautiful language to speak, but I would not have the time to learn it properly. Thank you.

How are your studies coming. I know a lot of countries have restrictions on available resources. Do you have much trouble getting material in Turkey?

    Hi Kobem.

I'm interested in the signature that you have chosen.
I think it might make an interesting discussion.

When you say that secularism is in danger, by whom?
Do you just mean in Turkey?

And how do you see this in relation to the current religious/political stucture in Malaysia?

They seem to be predominantly Islam, but appear to embrace a broad spectrum of beliefs with a rich diversity of cultures.

What are your thoughts on this?

shortly , secularism is in danger because turban threatens secular people and turban
is just "used ". It is never symbol of islam and it is disinterested with islam

our prime minister is not muslim he is under command of george walker bush politics from outside
to exploit and vanish secular , real democratic structure , who adores Atatürk from inside
by using turban as symbol of democracy

there is no democracy since prime minister and his " justice and development party" (AKP)
came. Now democracy is the thing only belongs to them . This year they elected
"abdullah gul" as president who never suits secular , revolutions of our REAL LEADER
MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK who recreates our nation from absence

all "media" is under their domination such as newspapers and people are not informed
real life news "THEY ARE JUST BEING CONCEIVED WITH ALL LIE"

if someone stops this , we will become malaysia!

note : before 2007 election we had meetings to protest the damn government and their
    hostility against ATATÜRK

Sorry Kobem - I had to go to sleep for a few hours there.

I'm surprised that you feel that George Bush is trying to vanish secularism and a democratic society.

He'd probably be upset about that.

    Ohhh-Kay.

Can I just clarify one or two things here.

    1) What do you mean in your previous post by 'turban'? Is this a person, a religion, or a point of view?

    2) What do you understand by secularism? I'm a bit confused by you claiming that the countries involved in the current conflict as being secular.
