Anyone had experience with telephone interviews?

Hey guys,

I've had two telephone interviews now. The first was far more formal, with me being asked questions/queries and lasted around 30 minutes and the second was the company just ringing me up and asked me a few questions and lasted around 4 minutes. On both I got "invited" by the interviewer for a face to face interview, however I received no email back. Was this them being polite and it's likely I will never hear from then again?
