    If so, when a new starter starts, What do you normally give them?

    We give out - Laptop, backblerry, RSA, Monitor, Keyboard Mouse, Landline

    Wouldn't what you give them be dependant upon what role they are carrying out and whether they have the need for said devices?

    I did, thankfully no longer. What you get depended on what you did and why. RSA's did go to quite a few, as did a laptop. Back there we could choose to have a BB or a Windows Mobile based phone. But YMMV.

    Nearly all out permanant staff get a laptop, mice and blackberry. Exec also get an ipad. All desks have a charger, keyboard, mice and 22 ws monitor.

    I worked in a banking call centre circa 2004, luckily the only guy who was considered important enough to be given a laptop was the head of the call centre. Everyone else had to make do with the standard desktops. Made my life a ton easier back then.
