I got one of these before Christmas. I almost divorced the wife when I read that I'd won over £500,000! However, common sense prevailed and it proved to be a scam. I forwarded it to the National Lottery bods, they have a fraud link on their website for you to send stuff to and a list of names these firms use. If it looks too good to be true it probably is :)

Aside from the dodgy grammar, the likelihood of microsoft arranging to supply e-mail addresses from ISPs and the broken website... its also got an 0704 number. Odds are that if you try to call you're re-directed to an offshore premium rate number that will make you cry when you see your phone bill. Scammers will get money out of you one way or another!!

I followed one of these up once and after a couple of emails they asked me for a 'processing fee' in order to progress any further - can't remember how much it was but was quite a bit.

That's the usual method of the scam.

It's amazing how many people pay the 'processing fees'!
