    Hi Guy's/Gal's,

Came across this post advertised on Monster, it's for a Network Manager/IT Manager's (whatever you want to call it) post. It's basically for my counter-part at another school (so I have nothing to do with this advert/post) in the Northamptonshire area.

If you do go for the job and get it, I'll expect an invite for a tour :)

I have relatives at Sutton Coldfield and Tamworth so it is tempting as they'd not be too far away.

Trouble is the salary. I'd need at least another £10k on top of what they're offering to make a move viable.

Because you would be working under the Director of ICT who covers 3 Academies it would unlikely to get much higher unless the role expands. The Academy will be a through school and independent of the LA when it comes to operational IT and infrastructure. The Director of ICT is a crackin' bloke to work for and the Network Managers at the other two Academies are top blokes. (The job is also nothing to do with me either).

Yeh, it does sound a good role but my financial circumstances just don't work for a move like that with that salary - shame.

If they were offering a bit more, I would have been tempted to apply (and their local-ish to me, next town).
