Can anyone recommend an Amiga emulator this runs well under XP?

Also have i seen a modern ATX motherboard that has the motorola 6800 chipset that emulates the Amiga, or was i just having a wet dream about such hardware? :biggrin

Absolutely... the Amiga was WAY ahead of its time with regards to graphics, sound, and gaming. I've still got my Amiga 500.

i remember coming home from school and my mum and dad sitting me down...
my world collapsed. soooo many games :(

they replaced it with a pc, so i was entertained with the likes of doom, duke nukem, shadow warrior etcetc but still not the same. then 2 years later i got a PS1!

    Hi Enigma,

...the hardware emulation chipset does sound like a dream....Amigaforever howerver is a reality! -google it!
Ive had it running old greats like shadow of the beast, and moonstone, swos!!! under xp and vista, (64 ultimate)

not tried it yet on my windows 7rc tho.....

It works, well worth the tenner there asking.
even loads with a media center like interface, select the games and play in a window, you need the disk images though.

OMG Shadow of the Beast 2 was the best ever game for the Amiga! days rolled into weeks playing it, never did complete it though as it was such a hard game:eek:
Such a shame most small software companies disappeared, If only Pysgnosis made games today!

I remember playing a demo at ECTS of the last game they were making which was a space sim based on Babylon 5. Have to say it was pretty excellent but then they went bust.

They do, but they were bought out some time ago by Sony and are still based in Liverpool. The studio is still running as far as I know.
