That'll be the last CompTIA exam I take I reckon, unless forced by employer or they remodel their question design/writing strategies.

Passed with 874/900 and that marks the completion of this years cert targets so it's time to find a shop with Cataclysm and go bash some dwarf heads for a month or so

And regards to Cataclysm, I've had it installed since the 7th but avoiding touching it as I'm studying...

Hold, HOLD I SAID! You can do it, I didn't even buy it until after the exam, willpower is too low, hehe.

 

Worse Bruce, best example was a question whose wording was asking for the correct definition of "validating a users identity" - and guess what, of the four answers the correct answer of "Authentication" wasn't an option, going completely against the CompTIAs definition of AAA.

There were a few other questions that were of dubious nature too, can't list them obviously, but the answers weren't accurate to the question posed.

 

I think some of my Security+ questions, written by Yoda, were !hmmm

Aye, although I did find some other different topic extensions, not covered by the objectives, appear in the All-In-One book, along with alternate views which was good for roundness, but then the Syngress book had info that those didn't.

Overall though the Syngress book covers all the topics, but as we've found ignore the end of chapter questions.

In the end the Syngress was the main tome, cross-verfiied with the All-In-One, and during the last week I did the Syngress CD exams (weak), the three exams available from Boson (again, great product, detailed, good strong tests), all the end of chapter questions in the Syngress, All-In-One and Passport books.
