Any one else experienced this ?

After patching, I started getting the WindowsMessaging cr*p messages again - you all know the annoying pop-ups. These never appeared whilst running AVG6 and ZoneAlarm Pro.

Only now I've patched Blaster, have they started again - anyone else had this ? :snipersm:

When I started getting those darn popup spams I was advised to check this:
This refers to XP but I think it works on win2000.
Go to control panel, admin tools, services.Right click messenger and select stop.
The service will stop but will start again on reboot.Right-click on messenger again and select properties. In the startup box, select disabled.
This will prevent it the popups starting again.

Also check your firewall hasn't been disabled for some reason.

    I hope this helps. :peace
