Advent memory slots

My sister in law asked if i could put some more memory into her Advent laptop...

I went onto crucial and they said there was two memory slots but when i opened it up there was only one, i am really looking for comfirmation on this or could the other slot be under the keyboard?

Yes it entirely possible that beneath the keyboard there will be another memory stick. It may be concealed under a metal cover. I've seen quite a few instances of this, paricularly on the smaller laptops, where space is restricted.

to me, it seems like a bit of work for something so easy to install, its a standard laptop so why do they put them in such places.
