    Hi all,

just a quick question, as i'm not sure if this is possible.

What i want to do is see who has permissions on shared folders, what permissions etc

I've been looking as dsquery and dsget but they dont seem to be able to do it.

    Has anyone got any ideas?

    I can!

    Here

That will tell you what the permissions are on a folder. You can then just check the groups listed to identify who has that level of access. I also have a vbscript i can supply that will output the list of users in a given group.

Fergal wrote that excellent utility himself quackers, so although it will do what you require it will not be required knowledge for a Microsoft exam. If you are studying for the AD exam, as posting in this forum implies, you might want to check out CALCS.

Hi and thanks for the replies, I've got it sorted now i thought you might be able to do the query in AD, but i used the ShowACLS command in the end.
