I've got a lot of travel on this month so I was looking for a few games to play on my laptop while I'm away, keep me entertained and off the sauce in the hotels kind of thing, and I've come across a few Abandonware sites that have some awesome old school games that can be run on anything. Looking at some of these games however I'm not 100% convinced this is legal. Does anyone know? The likes of Lemmings, Settlers 3, Sim 3000 are there. It would be great if this is legit but if not there's no way I'd download it. Am I best sticking to Steam?

 

I was thinking that mate, possibly the odd title, the software house no longer exists and wasn't bought up but the number of games they have... I mean they're all old but still. I'll swerve it mate, could be riddled with spyware or anything. I'll stick to the names I trust. Thanks.
My mate told me to a game called Project Zomboid, available on Steam, might give that a whirl although its only in Alpha at the mo, not bought an Alpha game before

 

Thanks mate. I can honestly say I've never been in the MS store so will check it out. I'm a bit bored waiting for the boxing to come on tonight so figured I'd try and line a game or two up for myself. Mrs and kids out tonight

 

Ah nice one, some of the games on there are on those dodgy sites. Glad I swerved them. I used to love Settlers 1 on the Amiga. I always remember the size of the world would depend on how much RAM you had, good times. Cheers guys, I'll buy something tonight ready for some grueling March travel

 

Just watching the Tyson fury fight on boxnation then more on BBC at 11. I seem to recall panzer general being ok. Might get that and a few others case it's crap ha ha

I had a quick look earlier, got lost and couldn't navigate it and gave up ha ha

Ha ha I don't know mate my Mrs made a comment today when I couldn't figure something out on our Tv. Something along the lines of since you've become an architect you're really flying aren't you ha ha I had to laugh, I'm falling apart ha ha

 

Mate you totally can I've seen it. What a game. Sensible Soccer and Cannon Fodder are all you need to grow up big and strong!

 

Tellin ya mate I miss it terribly. I wish I lived in the good old days where you could design it, put it in then support it.... I don't think that kind of thing exists any more. Perhaps I just need to get a proper lab setup for my fix. I think I'm getting frugal in my old age ha ha so much kit, I'd want to rent it out knowing me ha ha
