    Hi

All the topics covered in the A+ does it applied to Windows 7?

i.e. where the user profile is stored or where disk management is located?

The reason i'm asking is because i can't find a copy of vista anywhere in my local computer store and they only stock windows 7. Don't wanna spend £67 on windows 7 if i need Vista

    Thank you

    Dave

Vista will be covered by the newer A+ not 7 but if I were you I wouldn't buy either just for th A+.

I doubt there will be many questions and anyhow doing the odd control panel thing will be the same process as xp. If your that worried just take a walking into pc world or something and have a mess about on one the display pcs, that is if you can fin done with vista on it.

I hope your not advocating piracy, that sort of thing is frowned upon here.

People who want to stay legal.

Piracy isn't a victimless crime. If everyone were to pirate software, and all those companies go out of business, from whom would you steal then? :dry

You laugh now... but when that shoe is firmly placed on YOUR foot, you'll think differently.

EDIT: I take a look around at where I am at the moment and realize that this is probably the only anti-piracy post you'll see from my current side of the world! lol!

As GBL mentioned, you don't necessarily need to buy a copy of either just for an exam. While I always recommend hands-on experience whenever possible, if you have a good study tool, you can probably get by without purchasing Vista or 7 if you have no other plans to use it.

You could always get an evaluation version of Windows 7, with the usual 90 day time-bomb.

Or as was mentioned, play with a computer at any store and you'll get your fix.

You could always try an emulator website, it might give you a general understanding of what you are trying to do.

    http://www.temulator.com/

I used to use that website when I was doing Technical Support for Toshiba!
