    Hi Phil
    Many thanks for the welcome.
I'm still at the very early stage where I'm reading from books at home. You must have read my mind though.
I'll be searching and asking Q's on the best way to study for it.
Will I need to sign up with a 'tutor' or Agency specialising this or is it something that can be done at home...?

    OOps !!Wrong section...sorry

    Cheers
    Peter.

Hi again Peter. I just responded to one of your queries in the A+ forum. Welcome to the site. We just migrated to new software over the weekend so I at least, still feel a tad awkward about how to operate all the controls.

Glad you found the place. Please feel free to look around and ask any questions you might have. We've all been beginners (and in fact, I feel like I'm always at the beginning stage of something) so please relax and ask anything you like.

Hope we can help you out. I produce a small QOTD (question of the day) in the A+ forum if you'd like to test your skills. Nothing major, just a little something to help focus on the A+ material. Cheers.

    Welcome (big explanation mark)

I'm studying 70-210 and 70-215 but have started studying A+ recently because I feel that it's a cert that all newcomers to IT should gain.

I have the Mike Meyer's A+ book.A very good read.

Btw Mike Meyers gave this here very forum an EXCLUSIVE interview only a few weeks ago.
An interesting read, so be sure to check it out.

    Good luck with the studies.

    Welcome on board Peterp!

You say that you are starting the A+ - have you done any other IT certs before or is this your first? What made you choose to study A+ - are you working/intending to work in IT?
