    Hi everyone,

Just a quick question regarding the A+ Essentials exam structure.

How many questions are there? How much time do you have? Is it essay questions, multiple choice, or both?

And how did you find it?

    Thanks,
    Darren

Thanks when it says 675 to pass, what is that out of?

I'm guessing it is multiple choice then?

I think it's 900 and yes it's multiple choice... then again I've never taken the A+.
But if it's anything like the Comptia tests I've taken, it should be all multiple choice.

for exam 1 the 601 you have 90 minutes to complete 100 multiple choice questions consisting of 4 possible answers each.

You need to score just over 70% correct to pass,we debated the percentages recently.

The questions are made up of a few sentences or a paragraph, all fairly short,as you don't have much time to read and answer them,100 questions into 90 minutes isn't much.

It is plenty of time- if you've done your work, you'll be able to answer the questions, and recheck them at least once before finishing.
Some questions are one line, such as "What speed is USB2" and you'll be given four options.
Aim for 80%+ in practice exams and you should be fine :)

I done the whole lot in 70 minutes, but the pressure of time was always in my mind,i felt under a minute per question didn't seem very long, but it was okay in the end.
