I've just purchased 'A+ Certification All-In-One Exam Guide' by Mike Meyers and noticed that on the front cover it only states that it contains material for the 220-602, 220-603 & 220-604 exams.

Does this book not contain the required info for the 220-601 exam as well?

Also do certain chapters relate to certain exams, or do you just have to read and memorise the whole book for each exam?

It does, look at the top left hand corner of the cover, the black box and, third line down in the centre block, Essentials is 220-601.

You have to read the whole book, it covers all the exams.
