Okay maybe it is me being grumpy git. Some of new guys that have just signed up, how hard would it be for you to introduce yourselves?

I wouldn't dream of going into a room full of strangers and start asking questions without introducing myself first, even if it's just a one liner saying hello and nice to be here.

    Peace Out 8)

Heck mate what don't you just change your name from Wizard to Victor Meldrew?? :p :biggrin

All Joking aside, does it really matter if they introduce themselves in the newbie section???

Some people just want to ask a question or search for a particular thread. 8)

We can't persecute them for that!

Besides I never introduced myself in the newbie section and yet no one has complained to me about it! 8)

While it would be nice, it's not exactly mandatory. I've noticed quite a number of people whose first post is a technical question (usually because they need help *right now*) and then later on, they introduce themselves.

That's one of the best Mitzsisms to date! :biggrin

Can someone add 'to be socialiazed' to the database?
I'm not sure what the definition is going to be, but I'm sure the concept came up in THX1138. Maybe the opposite of lobotomized?

    Dunno...

"to be socialiazed" - Def, to be introduced by ones self in a forum, a polite way of saying "Hi i'm here and new, I'm the baby, brand new just out gotta love me".

Lobotomized - To be reduced to the level of a DBA developer. :p

It would be nice, but next someone will complain that we have to mention the Mike Meyers 6 edition again or Trips book as we do 50 times a day :D

If you have a problem with that...

...then I suggest that you consider purchasing the A+ All-in-One Study Guide Sixth Edition by Mike Meyers and PC Technician Street Smarts by James Pyles. 8)

Even so, I wouldn't walk into a room of strangers without some sort of intro, less likely to be ignored or people to say "who the hell is this guy" 8)
