Just had a look at the links Ken provided in the exam objectives thread. For 2009 does this mean that they've gone full circle and just offering a single track again?

I've noticed they're just called essentials and practical.

With the pratical I'm assuming you now have to demonstrate physically that you can do what is required?

Please could you explain why they call it the 2009 objective if the 2006 objective is still effective until June 2010?

Why don't we call it the 2010 objective?

Sorry, I am just a little bit concerned as I have spent a lot of time studying from a A+ textbook that is for the 2006 objective.... Do I have to hurry, so that I am not screwed? I don't want to be buying more textbooks and spending more time :( , running a bit low on cash

If GBL is correct, then you have until Jan 2010.

You will be ok to do the 2006 objectives. There is always overlap between exams being retired and new ones starting. As long as you book th 2006 objective exams when you are book your exams with pearsonvue you hvae nothing to worry about and it Next summer (July) the 2006 objectives retire.

Because the new exams were released in 2009, not 2010. The 2006 and 2009 versions will both be available until 2010, when the 2006 version will retire; afterwards, only the 2009 version will be available.

You've got until July 31, 2010... so you've got more than a year.
