I passed

Don't think I did too well on 686 (EDA) though I think, although doesn't give me a mark- it just says Tested.

 

yeah mine just says tested too. I really want this one as well!

 

To be fair mate, the EDA was pretty solid.. I doubt I passed it anyway, but I'm happy I got 685.. I would have felt robbed if I didn't

The 686 was much harder, I really doubt I will pass this one, but yeah... I'm glad I got the 685! I took them both on the same day so I wanted to pass one of them for sure!

 

Found out that I have passed the 685, do we get any credentials for this?

I may be wrong, but I'm sure we get MCITP: W7, EDST when it's actually released to public, which according to http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-685 goes public on the 27th Nov... So I would imagine it would appear on the 'Cert Status' on the 27th Nov...
Might be wrong though..

well, if the 685 is anything to go on, looking at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/Exam.aspx?ID=70-686&Locale=en-us it says it's released 20th Nov... so we should have had it by now
I would hope and guess that it's before the 20th Nov based on the 685, but I was under the assumption it was going to be mid Dec, so I'm not too fussed!

 

Not unless you get an HDI cert as well. The MCITP: EDST7 requires 70-680, 70-685, and an HDI cert.

The MCITP: EDA7 certification is the "non HDI" option. You get the MCITP: EDA7 from passing 70-680 + 70-686.

 

This is correct. You don't actually get anything for passing this exam on its own. No credentials. Interestingly though, this was my colleagues first exam pass, and he got an email from MS with a username and password for the MCP site. Although his transcript doesn't show any credentials, it does still have the MCP logo in the top right hand corner - I wonder if this means he is now an MCP? Sounds silly, but the MCP credential is not listed under credentials! I think MS could do to confirm exactly what you DO get for passing this exam.

I like this forum BTW, I have been snooping around here for a while. Some good people and words of wisdom!
