I may do or see about the upgrade exams (if there is). Not surprised that it's out next month as the beta exams were last month...

Configuring Windows 8? Don't think there will be any use for that in an actual working envorinment. It'll fail worse than Vista i think. Unless it becomes standard I won't be touching a Windows 8 cert.

I'll probably do it after I've done my 291 for the MCSA 2003 and MCSA 2008 and Windows 7 Configuring... if I'm still mentally stable at that point, obviously! :blink

Sorry but how can my post linking to my own blog that helps to pass this exam be classified as spam? (and by pass I don't mean questions and answers just pure information, I got no banners or anything so I'm not posting for money or anything)

Anyway anyone who wants to read it please click on my profile and go to my personal blog listed in my profile, thanks.

I done my own researches on 70-687 exam and covered 5 out of 7 sections... the 2 last are monitoring and fault tolerance which hasn't changed so much from Win7

I also passed all the Vista certifications and true, out there no companies run Vista, some home user who got Vista when they bought it still use it.
But to be frank I still think it is worth it, a lot of functions in Win7/Win8 is upphotet Vista features.. BitLocker, UAC, IPv6 etc...

Haha it surely exist companies that still run Vista but most likely not by choice, maybe some build business tools that only work on Vista but I doubt they don't work on Windows 7.
I should have written a few companies run Vista :) my company had a few Vista machines but now 75% Windows 7 and still scary enough 25% Windows XP (actually probably 0.3% Windows 8 also)

EDIT: just for the record, I'm a Pro Vista guy :) I was dissapointed when Vista SP0 had issues to do a simple file copy, but with Service Pack 2 I thought Vista ran perfectly... but since Windows 7 was out at the same time I saw no need to run Vista... but again.. Vista SP2 is a stable and good OS.

Because your first post here was to direct traffic away to your own site and just because it doesn't contain anything illegal right now doesn't guarantee that would be the case in the future. If your where a contributing member to the community that people knew and had some kind of rapport with the link would have stayed but we get many 1 post members trying to direct our viewers to their own sites and not making a contribution in return.

I'm sure if you stick around and make a positive contribution to CF then pointing our members to your own site wouldn't seem like such bad etiquette.

I buy that and it makes sense, I just spent days to write this material and want as many as possible who want to write this exam use it. I'm sure i will hang around or come back to this forum because I'm sort of crazy about trying to take certifications :)
Anyway I'm writing the exam 70-687 tomorrow, I have applied for the second shot (wont post the link to that LOL) so if I fail I will get a second chance for free, I hope i wont but you never know :)
