I have just got the VMs running on my home pc... as and when i get more in to the certs I may look at a HP Microserver also as I know they have been mentioned on this forum a few times.

Tonight I am going to take a copy of my win7 ult vm with an image and then try to take this .iso and create another VM from this.

I was about to post a message to say that when trying to mount the install.wim in to SIM and then guess what, it starts to work again... typical, oh well, must carry on.

attached my xml answer file, the setup is not seeing it... i have woken up very tired today, and my head is not working so I know its going to be something simple like telling it where to find the answer file. or does all look ok?

I'm not at a computer to verify your answer file, but it needs to be called autounattend.xml. then placed on a flash drive. The install will look for it automatically.

If your doing this and its still not working make sure its configured correctly. Go into SIM load everything including the answer file and check the verify button. This will check for errors. You will probably get some warning but only be concerned if you get errors.

looks ok to me. Are you building this on a physical machine or through a VM?

you may want to remove the product key on here though

good point, i have removed the attachment so that the product key cannot be seen, to be honest though it was just a random string i had typed in so was never going to progress.

I created the .wim in a VM

Are you deploying the wim to a vm? could it be that the vm cant see the USB stick?
