Just passed the 70-293 a couple hours ago

score : 850 - not to bad


Well that wasnt quite as brain destroying as the 291 but it was still pretty tough !

Certainly one that needs reading several time when answering questions, Also a couple questions in there that seemed a bit odd, stuff I didnt notice coverd in the study material I've used (there again it might have been the fact the pc logged me out half way through and that threw me off a bit !)

Material used : mindleaders, measureup, cbt nuggets

Now on to the 294 !

congrats on the pass! could you maybe review your preparation what material you used etc so as to help people in the future!

As I "unfortunately" went with a TP they supply study material via Mind Leaders, from what I gather its very much similiar to the sybex books - you study the material and at the end theres a set of test questions etc. I've set up a test lab (server 2003) so I can also put things into practise - makes it sooo much easier to understand, that and theres no substitute for experience !.

From there I used measure up's pre test mock exams, very high quality of material BUT a tad missleading at times I've found - seems to go off on a tangent at times that can lead you away from the task in hand

I've also found the cbt nugget videos incredibly helpfull, Makes the whole concept much easier to take in having someone explain it all step by step

After finishing the study material provided I then spent about a month studying for hours on end (sometimes I'm up to 3-4 am studying) , reveiwing the key points supplied (Both the mindleaders material and CBT tend to mention key points that will be in the exam without giving to much away)

One thing I will say about this exam - It's all in the wording ! Some questions I got stuck on clicked when I read the question a few times over, its not quite as ambigous as some other exams (i.e - 70-291)

If you've used Active Directory, Certificates, Linked GP's to OU's etc ( hope I'm not giving to much away here) you'll be well on your way
