    Hi All,

Just thought you'd like to know I passed 293 this morning with a score of 809. Sims were nice and easy which was a relief.

For those taking this exam in future, for the love of god make sure you know everything there is to know about clustering*. I swear a good 20% of the questions involved it in one way or another.

Beer time later, then I need to start studying for 294 from next week.

    Joy.

    Well Done

How does clustering appear ? It was not mentioned on my course, nor in any of the books I have.

    Thanks guys :)

It's definitely on the exam. See this link - http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/Exam.aspx?ID=70-293#tab2

Topics covered (being general here so as to not break NDA)

    • NLB clustering / using NLB manager (port rules, IGMP, affinities etc)
    • Cluster node failure - how to restore nodes and readd to cluster, preferred / possible owner options etc
    • Differences between stateful/stateless applications, multicast/unicast modes etc

    Qs

Grats on the pass! BTW, do you recall if DNS was tested heavily in the exam? In my MS Press study guide there was a highlighted Exam Tip box that stated that DNS would be an important part of the exam. Seeing as how DNS was an important part of 291, I don't take DNS for granted and study up for it big time.

An African proverb: after you have jumped over the mound of elephant dung, you fear less the pellets of the domestic goat. Go for the next ones without fear mate.
