70-293 Done & Dusted

    Past this exam yesterday with a pretty decent 858. Didn't find it horrendously difficult and without breaking the NDA, found it asked me a fair range of everything in the syllabus for the exam, it didn't get 'bogged down' on one specific topic at any point.

    A lot, lot easier than 291, which I just passed with 700 on the nose. I wasn't really in the right place when I did 291 though, I just did it as i wanted it out the way. I've been working a lot more at the server admin and design level over the last 2 years so decided to finish off the MCSE. Revision material wise, I read the Windows 2003 Admin Companion 2nd Ed front to back cover, loads of virtual labs to really delve into depth on each topic and used the Testout (these really are superb!). Apart from the Testout, I didn't use any specific 293 revision material.

    Congrats on the pass! I know how you feel, I just passed 70-293 today myself. And yeah, 293 exam was easier than 291 exam, but for some reason I found it harder to study for 293 than for 291. It was only in the last few days before the 293 exam that I felt that I understood the material fairly well enough to pass.
