Guys,

My companies bespoke equipment that we support our clients remotely is still running on Windows NT would you beleive however we are upgrading to XP in the new year so would like to undertake the 70-270 exam.

My question is, Is it possible to self study for 70-270 or is it worth pushing my company to pay for me to got to my local college on a day release to learn instead?

Whether self study or classroom make sure that you have hands-on training or learning.

Books are good depending on what they provide. I have done the distance learning route and I am more in favour of CBT with the books for reference.

Zimbo is in a way spot on. You have the experience with NT, believe me there are changes but the OS both work pretty much the same underneath the skin.

What gets me is that you have not already tried it. That is where you will find out what sort of study you need to do!!!!!!

What do you mean? Why have I not tried studying for it already?
Well the thing is I have only been doing the Helpdesk job for about 6 weeks as I got promoted with my currunt employer so got the job more on my experience with the company, engineers and knowledge of our equipment than being technical with Windows NT as such.

Just wondered if it was possible to self study with only limited experience from being A+ certified and having some hands on experience with my Helpdesk job.
Also would be good if my company will pay for it.
