    Hi

new to this and feel a bit overwhelmed with how many certifications there are !

70-270 sounds a good place to start even though it is history in 6 months

    Q) Can anyone recommend an uptodate book or a training kit (might have software as well)
    to help ?

heard the cbt nuggets are good which i'll look into

also some books dont cover sp1 sp2 ?

    thanks

Hi mate you will want this book:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Installing-...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1281740671&sr=8-1

If you hurry some people here in the UK are selling it 2nd hand at a cheaper rate just make sure you get the Cds. An alternative is

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/MCSA-Window...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1281740671&sr=8-3

Personally I used the MS one yes it a big book but you do learn a lot about XP.

By the way,in my opinion i thought the CompTia A+ provided good basic knowledge before starting to read the book for 70-270.

You do know that using dumps is cheating and can get you decertified for life, right?
