    Hi all

I was wondering what 675 is as a percentage, i heard if you got 100 questions you times it by 900 or sumin like that?
and could you put how you work it out so i can see how much i was off by.

also i failed, but going to try again in 2-3weeks.

    Thanks

Mate to work out percentages, you need to know what the score you would have recieved if you had passed every question correctly.

Microsoft never release their scoring criteria so you'll never know.

A good rule of thumb is using 1000 as 100% though, so in your example you'll have 67.5%.

A rough pass-mark percentage is 700, so 70% - just remember this is just a very rough estimate.

Er - this is in the A+ section. :ohmy

Because of the way CompTIA score their certs it is almost impossible to calculate a percentage. If I remember correctly the max is 900, but you get 100 for free - i.e. the range is 100 to 900.

    On that basis the percentage is (675 - 100)/(900 - 100), or about 70%.

But it is a fairly meaningless value as nobody is told whether each question scores the same, and if not, what the range of scores can be.

My bad, the heat is obviously affecting my brain! *doh*

My point is still pretty accurate though, just substitute Microsoft for CompTIA :p

The final comment though is that you won't know and you never will :)
