hi, i've purchased the mike meyers book and now ready to start studying but have a question.. if i'm looking to take exams 601 + 602 do i study the complete book or just the relevant sections for these exams only?

Study the complete book.
The 603 and 604 miss out some topics but the 602 covers everything.
