Today marks the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe
Let us take a few moments to reflect on that, and what it means
Let us pay tribute to more than a quarter of a million british military personel, and the countless more from other allied nations who died for our freedom, and the freedom of the world

Sometimes I can come up with elaborate speeches at times like this, and sometimes I can't find the words
I guess this is one of the latter times.

Let us never forget those that went before us, to provide us with that which we take for granted every day

Enjoy the sunshine people, and take a moment to remember the fallen

I read your words this morning Ryan, but hadn't the time to reply.

As I attended the christening of a new-born niece today, it was impossible not to think of the men and women that gave their lives to allow this family event to pass off in peace.

    Let us always remember them.

    Our prayers are with you!

We shall never forget your bravery, guile and sheer unselfishness so that we can live in peace today.

God be with all servicemen and women who are both alive and without breath.

Let us also remember that the election that we voted in last week was also due to the sacrifices made. If it wasn't for those brave men who gave their lifes for us then we would not have the oppertunity to cast our demorcratic votes for the party of our choice.
